Hormone Health for Women
Hormones connect almost everything: energy, sleep, mood, weight, skin, and how you handle stress. Yet many women are told their labs are “normal” while they feel anything but.
We look at hormones as part of the whole system. Blood sugar, sleep, stress, gut health, and inflammation all influence hormone balance, and supporting those foundations is where we start.

Standard screening often checks one marker. A fuller workup with your provider can reveal more.
Transitions deserve support
Perimenopause and menopause are life stages to support, not just symptoms to manage.

Common Questions
Why do my thyroid labs look normal when I don’t feel normal?
Routine screening often checks TSH alone. Some practitioners also look at free T4, free T3, and thyroid antibodies. Ask your healthcare provider which tests make sense for you.
When does perimenopause start?
It often begins in the 40s, sometimes earlier, and can last several years before periods stop. Changes in sleep, mood, cycles, and body composition are common signs.
When should women use a cold plunge or sauna during their cycle?
Many women do best with cold and higher intensity in the first half of the cycle, and more warmth, rest, and nervous system support before and during their period. Heat can feel harder after ovulation, when body temperature rises. Skip hot sessions after ovulation if you might be pregnant.
Does MK Wellness offer hormone therapy?
No. We don’t prescribe or provide hormone therapy. Our wellness services support sleep, stress, recovery, and energy, which many clients use alongside care from their own provider.
